This 4 day class gives attendees a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to administering PostgreSQL.
This class includes labs covering installation, security, high-level architecture and internals, replication, backups, error logging and more … everything a DBA needs to run PostgreSQL with confidence.
postgres Administration IN AMAZON RDS
This 3 day version of our PostgreSQL Administration class focuses on the administrative differences when using Amazon PostgreSQL for RDS. The class also highlights the various advantages and trade-offs experienced when using cloud-hosted PostgreSQL.
Labs include connecting to an RDS instance, understanding RDS terminology and architecture, migrating data from on-premises PostgreSQL instances to RDS, and best practices for managing PostgreSQL in RDS using standard PostgreSQL clients and tools.
POSTGRESQL DEVELOPMENT
This 3 day class is an exploration of intermediate and advanced SQL programming topics in PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL-specific topics include an introduction to the PL/pgSQL language, control structures, the use of Foreign Data Wrappers, creating Functions and Stored Procedures.
INTRO TO SQL WITH POSTGRES
Learning to write and execute Structured Query Language queries to query and manipulate databases is a key skill for data analysis, DBAs, and software developers. This course gives a deep dive introduction to basic query writing as well as more advanced topics like data aggregation and grouping, JOINs and UNION operations.
